피한(皮漢)

이번 작업은 단체전《여름의 조각들,2025》에 참여하며 시작하게 됐다.

4차 산업혁명과 함께 AI와 스마트폰은 일상의 중심이 된 시대, 사람과 사람 사이에는 차갑고 건조한 한기가 감도는듯하다.

역설적으로, 우리가 끝없이 들여다보는 작은 화면 속에는 여전히 인간이 등장한다.

드라마, 예능, 브이로그에서조차 우리는 인간을 바라보고, 소비하며, 결국 인간을 향한다.

‘여름’이라는 주제를 마주했을 때 떠오른 단어는 ‘피한(避寒)’이었다.

뜨거운 계절임에도, 서늘한 시대를 살아가는 우리가 필요로 하는 피한지는 다름 아닌 ‘인간’이 아닐까 싶다.

카메라를 통해 우리가 서로에게 여름이 되어주는 순간들을 인위적으로 스테이징했다.

지하철, 버스정류장과 같은 장소를 선택한 것은, 누구도 머물지 않고 끊임없이 이동하는 시대의 풍경을 반영하기 위함이었다.

여름과 한기, 인간과 인간의 필요라는 역설을 교차시키며, 우리는 여전히 서로를 필요로한다는 사실을 기록하고자 했다.

In an age where AI and smartphones dominate daily life, a cold and arid chill seems to linger between people.

Yet, paradoxically, the small screens we endlessly gaze into are still filled with human figures.

Even in dramas, variety shows, and vlogs, we continue to look at humans, consume them, and ultimately turn toward them.

When confronted with the theme of “summer,” the word that came to mind was “避寒 (pihan) — refuge from cold.

” Even in the hottest season, perhaps what we need most in this chilly era is none other than human warmth itself.

Through staged photography, I sought to capture the fleeting moments in which we become summer for one another.

Settings such as subways and bus stops were chosen to reflect the landscape of a time when no one stays but everyone keeps moving.

By intersecting summer and coldness, humans and their mutual need, I wished to record the paradox that, even now, we still need each other.
